1. Agreement and scope
These Affiliate Terms govern participation in the Madeizzy Affiliate Network operated by CyberSafeHills & Partners Ltd in the Republic of Rwanda (Madeizzy, we, us). You are the participating person or business. An approved version applies only from its stated effective date following express acceptance. Participation requires express acceptance of the operative version.
The Marketplace Terms, Acceptable Use and Prohibited Products Policy, Intellectual Property and Takedown Policy, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy also apply to your use of Madeizzy. A programme may add promotion rules and commercial terms. These Affiliate Terms control participation in the network; the recorded programme version controls its commission and attribution window. Programme rules cannot override applicable law or these terms.
A business day is Monday to Friday excluding public holidays in Rwanda. Business-day periods begin on the next business day after the relevant event, measured in Kigali time. Calendar-day periods include weekends and holidays.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement and, if representing a business, authorised to bind it. Madeizzy currently serves Rwanda and records affiliate earnings in Rwandan francs (RWF). Participation does not authorise promotion in a territory where the product or promotion is unlawful.
Give accurate identity, contact, promotion-channel and payout information and keep it current. Maintain one affiliate profile per Madeizzy account, protect your sign-in credentials and report unauthorised activity promptly. We may request information needed to verify eligibility, investigate abuse or meet legal obligations. Do not create additional accounts to evade restrictions.
You may also be a buyer or creator, but cannot earn affiliate commission from a store to which you belong. Joining the network does not guarantee admission to any programme.
3. Joining and operating programmes
Programmes identify eligible products, the commission type and amount, an attribution window and promotion rules. Joining may be open, by application or by invitation. Review the programme before joining and check its current promotion rules before creating new campaigns.
A programme may be open, paused, winding down or ended. A programme owner or Madeizzy may stop new promotion, remove products, revoke links or end membership. For an ordinary voluntary closure or termination without misconduct, Madeizzy will stop new referral clicks but honour otherwise valid clicks recorded before the cutoff until their original attribution windows expire. New purchases must still concern the referred product, be lawful and settle successfully. Earlier earned commissions remain subject to confirmation, review and justified reversal. Immediate legal, product-safety, fraud or security restrictions may prevent further attribution; we will identify the restriction and explain any affected claim where lawful. Ordinary closure alone is not evidence of abuse.
Programme changes create a new recorded version. Where a click remains eligible, its commission terms and attribution window come from the version recorded when that click occurred. Do not represent a programme as available after it has ended.
4. Referral links and attribution
Use the referral links generated for your membership and product. The default attribution window is 30 calendar days; a different programme window applies only if clearly displayed before you join and recorded with the programme version. Madeizzy applies the last eligible click rule when an order is created: the most recent eligible referral from the same browser within its programme window receives credit. Ineligible recent clicks may be skipped for an earlier eligible one. A sale is not credited to multiple affiliates. There is no separate app attribution promise.
The first-party mdz_aff cookie can store up to five recent random visit identifiers. The server checks the link, product, membership, programme, click time and applicable window, including any protected wind-down entitlement described in section 3. A cookie is not proof that commission is owed. Switching devices or browsers, blocking or clearing cookies, technical failure or a later eligible referral may prevent credit. Automated visits and link previews do not earn credit. Required privacy choices take precedence over tracking.
Purchases by you, including matching account or email, and referrals from members of the selling store do not qualify. Purchases involving the seller’s team or other risk signals may be held for review. If you believe attribution is wrong, contact us with the link, product and relevant dates; do not collect or send unnecessary buyer personal information.
5. Calculation and confirmation of commission
A programme pays a stated percentage or fixed amount per qualifying paid sale. A percentage applies to the actual sale amount after indirect tax is removed, not simply the advertised price. For creator-funded programmes commission cannot exceed the creator’s payable share of that sale; for an enabled Madeizzy-funded programme it cannot exceed Madeizzy’s commission on the sale. The payable amount may therefore be reduced, including to zero. Estimates are not guaranteed earnings.
Commission is recorded only after the paid order has a valid financial settlement. The 30-calendar-day confirmation period starts when payment is confirmed and the order’s tax and financial settlement are completed, whichever occurs later. Studio will show the start and expected availability date. At the end of that period, the commission becomes available unless a stated hold, rejection or reversal applies. Automated processing may update the display on the next daily processing run, but will not restart the period. We do not extend this period retroactively for an already settled sale merely because a setting changes.
A hold must have a specific payment, fraud, security or legal reason, a recorded start date and responsible reviewer. We will notify you promptly, identify the affected amount and request only reasonably necessary evidence unless disclosure is legally restricted or would compromise a live investigation. Unrelated available earnings remain payable. A risk signal alone is not a finding of wrongdoing. We will review an unresolved hold and give a reasoned update at least every 15 business days, with the next review date. If disclosure is restricted, we will say as much as lawfully possible. When the reason ends, we will release or decide the affected amount promptly, with reasons and access to the complaint process; mere administrative delay is not a reason for an indefinite hold.
Creator-funded commission is deducted from the creator’s payable share; Madeizzy-funded commission is borne by Madeizzy and is available only for a programme expressly designated and enabled for that purpose. Once a valid commission is recorded as owed to you, CyberSafeHills & Partners Ltd is responsible for settling it through Madeizzy under these terms. You are not required to collect it from the creator. An internal funding or recovery dispute does not alone cancel your valid commission or justify an indefinite payout delay. This does not guarantee a commission where the underlying payment never settles or is legitimately reversed.
6. Refunds, reversals and negative balances
When a refund, chargeback or payment reversal reduces the underlying earnings, commission is reversed proportionately, up to the remaining commission attributable to that sale. A refund that Madeizzy elects to bear itself does not reduce your commission. The original commission and subsequent adjustments remain in the records.
If reversed commission has already been paid, your balance may become negative and be offset against future commissions. These terms do not authorise Madeizzy to debit your bank or mobile-money account automatically. We may correct erroneous or abusive credits with a recorded reason; you may challenge the correction through the dispute process.
7. Payout requests and tax
Add and verify your bank or mobile-money payout destination and request payment from your available balance in Studio. The normal minimum request is 5,000 RWF. Smaller available amounts carry forward without expiring merely because they are below the threshold. Pending, held or reserved amounts cannot fund another request. A valid request reserves the requested funds until paid or released.
Madeizzy finance will initiate payment of a complete, valid request within 10 business days after required verification is complete and will record the payment reference. This deadline concerns initiation, not the time your bank or mobile-money provider takes to credit funds. We will tell you promptly what information is missing, why it is needed and when verification is expected to finish. We will not postpone the start indefinitely for unspecified verification or restart it for checks already completed. A new specific legal or security restriction may pause payment of the affected amount; we will record and explain it and apply the hold safeguards in section 5.
A failed transfer does not erase the amount owed. We will notify you, explain any correction needed, and retry or release reserved funds. Where retry requires corrected details, the 10-business-day period begins when those details have been verified and the restriction is resolved. Failures solely within Madeizzy’s control must be remedied promptly rather than used to restart the deadline repeatedly.
On account closure or permanent withdrawal, contact support for final settlement. The 5,000 RWF minimum does not apply to a positive final available balance. We will initiate payment within 10 business days after verification and any applicable confirmation or lawful hold for that amount is complete. Pay undisputed available amounts first; later maturing valid commissions, including protected earlier referrals, receive a further final settlement. Closure does not forfeit valid earnings. A negative balance is handled under section 6; these terms do not authorise a direct debit.
Give correct payout details. Destination changes require the applicable account-security checks and any disclosed security waiting period. A closed or suspended profile must retain a support route for lawful settlement even if normal Studio payout controls are unavailable.
You are responsible for taxes and reporting applicable to your earnings and for information lawfully needed to process payment. These terms prescribe no tax rate or exemption. Any legally required withholding must follow a documented determination and appear in the payout statement with its basis and amount. Madeizzy will bear its own sending or processing charges; your receiving bank or mobile-money provider may apply its own separately disclosed charges. No discretionary deduction will be introduced without the applicable change process.
8. Honest promotion and disclosure
Clearly disclose your financial relationship next to each recommendation or referral link, in language your audience understands, before they need to decide whether to follow it. For example: “I earn a commission if you buy through this link.” Do not hide disclosure in a profile, separate terms page or a long group of hashtags. For audio or video, make the disclosure perceptible in the relevant format. Use any platform disclosure tool in addition where required.
Make truthful, supportable claims, follow the programme’s approved wording and prohibited claims, and distinguish your own experience from statements supplied by a creator. Do not claim to have used a product you have not used. Do not guarantee income, results, endorsement by Madeizzy or availability that the listing does not support.
Follow applicable advertising, communications, intellectual-property and data-protection rules and the rules of the service on which you promote. Do not spam, send unlawful unsolicited messages, impersonate Madeizzy or a creator, use misleading domains or accounts, bid on Madeizzy or creator brand names without written permission, or promote through unlawful or prohibited content.
9. Prohibited manipulation
Do not buy through your own links to earn commission, arrange sham purchases or seller collusion, generate fake or automated clicks or sales, stuff or overwrite cookies, force redirects, conceal the referral destination, misuse discount claims, use stolen payment details, fabricate reviews, or use multiple accounts or shared payout details to disguise identity or evade controls.
Do not interfere with attribution, security or records. Commission arising from manipulation is not validly earned and may be rejected, held or reversed after review. We may restrict accounts and preserve relevant evidence. A shared attribute alone is a reason to investigate, not conclusive proof of misconduct.
10. Promotional materials and rights
You retain rights in your original promotional content. A programme’s supplied materials may be used only to promote its eligible products in accordance with the permission and conditions accompanying them. No ownership of Madeizzy’s or a creator’s marks, products or materials is transferred. Do not alter materials to make misleading claims or grant others rights you do not have.
Stop using materials and marks when permission ends and remove or update affected promotions where reasonably within your control. Do not reproduce or distribute the paid product itself unless separately licensed. Report infringement through the Intellectual Property and Takedown Policy.
11. Data, confidentiality and records
Madeizzy processes affiliate profiles, programme versions and memberships, referral visits and attribution decisions, commissions and adjustments, payout details, disputes and acceptance evidence to operate and protect the network. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy must describe these uses and any required choices before referral tracking is opened. Acceptance of these Affiliate Terms does not itself provide consent for every use of visitor or affiliate personal data.
Information you make public may be displayed publicly. Programme operators receive information needed to review participation and their programme’s performance; authorised Madeizzy staff may access information needed for support, finance, security and compliance. Participation does not give you unrestricted access to buyer information. Protect any non-public information you receive and use it only for the authorised purpose.
Madeizzy retains the policy identifier, version, content checksum, authenticated account, server time and acceptance source. Programme versions, financial entries and subsequent corrections remain traceable. Unconverted raw referral visits are scheduled for deletion after 395 days, subject to a documented, necessary legal preservation restriction. Converted referral evidence, financial evidence and dispute records have different retention purposes; applicable retention periods, lawful bases, rights and any legal preservation restrictions must be stated in the aligned Privacy Policy. Records should not be kept indefinitely merely because storage is available. Necessary legal preservation is documented and reviewed.
12. Suspension, withdrawal and termination
You may stop promoting at any time, leave a programme using the available controls or contact support to close your affiliate account. Madeizzy may suspend or close participation for breach, suspected fraud, security or legal requirements, or discontinuation of the network. Programme operators may end membership in their programmes.
Where reasonably possible and lawful, we explain a restriction, its effect on earlier referrals and how to challenge it. Stop creating or promoting new links after the cutoff. Earlier valid referrals receive the wind-down protection in section 3 unless a stated urgent restriction applies. Accrued earnings remain payable subject to confirmation, review and legitimate reversal, and the final-settlement procedure in section 7 applies. Ending participation does not remove payment obligations, accrued rights, confidentiality, lawful recordkeeping or dispute provisions.
13. Questions, complaints and disputes
For a recorded commission or payout, open a case from that item in Studio. For a missing commission, restriction, hold or inability to access Studio, contact info@cybersafehills.com or +250 781 064 017 with the link, dates and relevant evidence. We acknowledge an affiliate complaint within 2 business days. We aim to resolve the complaint within 15 business days of receipt. If more time is reasonably needed, we explain the reason, information needed and expected next step, and provide a reasoned update at least every 15 business days until resolution. These are not deadlines for you to waive a claim.
A reviewer examines the recorded evidence and communicates the outcome and reasons. You may ask for reconsideration with additional evidence or an identified error; where practicable a different reviewer will consider it. Opening a case does not automatically pause unrelated processing. If your complaint concerns payment, undisputed available earnings remain subject to the normal payment process. Internal procedures do not restrict access to a competent authority or court.
If you disagree, ask support to reconsider and identify any missing evidence or error. This internal process does not remove your right to seek an available legal remedy. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, subject to mandatory protections that cannot be excluded. Disputes may be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction; these terms do not impose mandatory arbitration.
14. Relationship, responsibility and limits
Participation is non-exclusive. You decide whether and how to promote within these rules and bear your own promotion costs. The arrangement does not authorise you to bind Madeizzy or a creator or to act as their employee, partner or legal agent. Mandatory legal classifications are not displaced by this description.
Madeizzy does not guarantee traffic, sales, earnings or uninterrupted tracking. Each party remains responsible for its own unlawful conduct and breach under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, excuses non-payment of valid amounts due, or changes a buyer’s rights under the Refund and Cancellation Policy. No additional monetary liability cap or automatic indemnity is imposed by these terms.
15. Changes and general provisions
Material revisions to these Affiliate Terms or their network-wide commercial schedule receive at least 30 calendar days’ notice through your account and registered contact channel before their stated effective date. The notice identifies the changed version, material changes and proposed date. Urgent changes needed to comply with law or address a concrete security threat may take effect sooner, only to the extent necessary; we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the urgency. We will not use this exception for an ordinary price or payout-policy change.
Existing affiliates must expressly accept the new version before new promotional activity under that version, including creating new links or joining further programmes. Silence or continued login is not recorded as acceptance. If you decline, you may withdraw without losing valid accrued earnings. At the transition cutoff, new referral creation and new clicks under the old version stop; eligible clicks already recorded keep their original window and programme economics under section 3. Existing links must not silently continue earning under unaccepted new terms. Each acceptance remains linked to the exact text and version shown.
Programme commission changes remain programme-specific and are recorded as new versions before applying to new clicks. Eligible earlier clicks keep their recorded commission and window. The 30-day notice rule applies to material network-wide agreement changes; it does not promise that every programme stays open for 30 days or override an expressly disclosed programme end date. A programme operator may not use a programme edit to evade accrued payment rights or the wind-down safeguards.
If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive it. Neither a programme description nor informal promotional copy may contradict these terms. Contact us before transferring an account or participation rights; these terms grant no automatic right to transfer them.
